Top Notch Builders | Our Building Process
At Top Notch Construction we have a standard building process which we generally follow when building all new homes. This involves 7 key steps:

and we will then have an initial discussion to briefly talk about your requirements.
- We Meet with You. At this session we will discuss your requirements in greater detail and we can go through any Council, building, or resource consent requirements. We will provide you with an initial sketch and specification plans along with some basic cost estimates.
- Confirmation of Agreement Is Drawn up and Signed by Both Parties. This Agreement details any costs which may be involved to progress your building project to the next stage. We can meet with you to go through this Agreement and answer any questions you may have at this stage. Once you are happy with this Agreement, we ask you to sign this document. This Agreement confirms your intention to move forward with the building process.
- Preparation and Scoping Prior to Build. This includes collating any required ground testing, engineering reports, designs, working drawings and then proceeding with acquiring all necessary Council permits and consents. At the end of this, we will provide you with a Full Building Contract detailing costs and specifications. We will ask you to also sign this document, which gives us your full consent to proceed with the building project.
- We Commence Your Build. Once we commence building your new home, we can happily schedule weekly/bi-weekly catch-ups on-site, where we discuss what we are doing, what's happening next, and most importantly answering any questions you may have at each stage.
- Your New Home Is Built and Ready for You to Move in. Your new home is handed over to you cleaned, completed and ready for you to move in. We obtain and forward on to you all relevant compliance certificates, warranties, product operation and maintenance manuals, as well as compiling colour/product schedules etc.
- Maintenance Period. With all new built homes by Top Notch, we include a 90-Day Maintenance Schedule. During this period we will re-visit your home, do a full inspection of all supplied items, and promptly address any items which may require attention. This ensures your home will continue to perform as promised and as expected, well into the foreseeable future. During this maintenance period all identified concerns will be addressed quickly and promptly by us.
Our Guarantee: All projects completed by Top Notch Construction Ltd are guaranteed to work and perform as indicated, and carry both our Specified Maintenance Period and Industry Standards of Workmanship and Material warranties of up to 25 years.
